This coming week at SURFCiTY is filled with a powerful day of learning the DNA of your church and then next Saturday is the Women’s Breakfast with the Saints.
- Wednesday morning at 8:30am there is a 45 minutes church service with the SURFCiTY International Training College students
- Wednesday night at 7:30pm there is a worship service in the Small Auditorium
- Friday afternoon Epic High School Youth at 5:30pm
- Friday night The Edge Young Adults church service at 7:30pm
- Saturday DNA Day at 9am – please pre-register – lunch is provided
- Sunday 9:30am and 6pm powerful church services!

Finally, there’s so many ways to get involved at SURFCiTY. Volunteering is a great way to make friends and contribute to the work the church is called to do in our city. You can help in our cafe, greet at the door or in the carpark, help with our kids church, assist in one of our community projects or help with our audio visual team and thats just a few. Visit the information desk or call our office on 55543900 and say “I want to volunteer”. You wont regret it!
DNA Day
SURFCiTY is not a building, it’s a community of people with a common spiritual DNA. On Saturday the 1st of August we are equipping you in a DNA training day. With a free lunch and inspirational scriptural teaching from our amazing leadership team the DNA that make’s SURFCiTY who we are will be imparted to you.
At the end of the day you will be equipped to lead connect groups and to further your walk with the Lord in a leadership capacity at SURFCiTY.
We’re excited to see new members of the church attend, as well as seeing long/medium term members of the family step-up and be counted as a leader in the church.

After some of our team spent last week at the Hillsong Conference, we’re all pumped for another big week in the house of God this week. SURFCiTY International Training College starts back tonight with new Monday night courses, the Personal Development Courses start this week and this Sunday night we’ve got a very special night with Andrew Ironside and the HisNameHigh band.

- Thursday night bible college classes have been replaced with Monday night classes – www.surfcitycollege.com for more info – if you want to study the next intake is October 2009.
- Personal Development Courses ‘Making Marriage Better’, ‘Search for Life’ and ‘Divorce Recovery’ start this Thursday – www.surfcity.org.au/pdc for more info
- College Chapel – the wednesday morning short church service is back this week at 8:30am in the small auditorium and you are welcome to attend for worship and preaching.

It’s been 2 days under 6 months since we dedicated a baby boy at SURFCiTY. This weekend the family of Nokutenda Victor Chivoko are dedicating him to God in the 9:30am service.

This Week at SURFCiTY
This week we welcome Pastor Richard back from his holiday in Ireland where his family resides and he originally came from. In this morning’s staff meeting he was glad to be home, but sad to leave the Emerald Isle once more.
The High School Ministry: Epic takes two weeks off during the Queensland High School holiday break this week and The Young Adults: The Edge are back from a powerful weekend with Pastor Matt Hines from Paradise Community Church for their Camp on the Sunshine Coast at the Alexandria Headlands on the Sunshine Coast.
Connect groups are happening in homes and coffee shops across the city this week, they are where our church gets together in small groups and prays together, gets into the word, fellowships and do life together. Also this week:
- Music Team practice is back on this Wednesday night at 6:45pm
- Wednesday night: Worship and Soak night from 7:30pm in the Small Auditorium
- Thursday night courses are on a break over the school holidays. The lifekeys courses are back on a Thursday night in two weeks and the College courses are moving to Monday nights.
- Friday night: Epic is on holidays and The Edge is on from 7:30pm
- Sunday: an action packed day in the house of God with Pastor Richard preaching in the morning, Ps Kent at the 6pm service and the amazingly skilled SURFCiTY Worship Team leading worship at both services.

SURFCiTY Men are holding a prophetic prayer assembly in the main auditorium on the 4th of July.

Women’s Breakfast
A hot breakfast will be enjoyed along with some fellowship with the other passionate women of SURFCiTY on the 8th of August at the Watermark Hotel in Surfers Paradise.
The hot breakfast will start at 9am with the most refreshing breakfast experience on the Gold Coast. A selection of freshly cooked items and made to order specialties including omelettes, pancakes and eggs whilst the buffet is laden with savoury delights, cereals, yoghurt, bakery items and an assortment of sliced tropical fruit.
Come for a special morning with some amazing women and a delectable breakfast.
