Food Bank
Surfcare
Surfcare began in late 2006. Originally it was a breakfast program in a park in the heart of our city. After one year Surfcare changed their service to a dinner program. This continues to be a huge success with 30 to 50 people enjoying a steak, sausages and food parcels twice a week. Surfcare also provides clothing and bedding which is received by our homeless clients with much gratitude (especially in the winter months).
His Hands Extended
His Hands Extended is a ministry that focuses on one of the areas worst caravan parks. They have cleaned up the park and now do regular visits to drop off food parcels and encourage the tenants. The owner of the park and the tenant have welcomed this team with open arms.
Emergency Accomm
Emergency Accommodation is provided at our Community Centre. This 8 bed facility is a safe place offered to members of our community that would otherwise be living on the streets. The need for emergency accommodation is on the rise in our city and the growth of this facility is vital in order for us to assist the members of our community.
Our community centre houses our offices, food bank program and our emergency accommodation facility.
