Feed the hungry – Food Bank
FACT: This program feeds from 50 to 100 homeless people every week.
Food Bank was established in June 2004 and has quickly grown to become one of the Gold Coast’s most successful “Feed the Hungry” programs.
Providing an amazing service to the homeless, Food Bank supplies nutritious 3 course meals, food relief parcels, clothes and facilities for those in need of assistance. Those who come are treated to first class service and a friendly atmosphere that allows them to feel at home and at ease.
With an emphasis on showing love, the team is committed to cater for the needs of each individual, as well as through personal testimony, provide hope of a better future.
Food Bank truly is providing the homeless with ‘a hand up…not just a hand out’.
Food Bank is run every Saturday from 12-2pm at the Monaco Street Building. There is also a free BBQ held each Monday afternoon at 5pm also at the Monaco Street Building.
